How We Worship
Worship is the primary purpose for which God created us - to give God glory. We worship in everything we do: we
reflect God's glory when share with those in need; we give God glory with our praises in worship; we reflect God's
glory when we've used our gifts to enhance the kingdom. Everything you are and have is a gift from God meant for the
purpose of returning praise to the Lord. "Daily worship" means finding ways to reflect the light that God is shining
on you.
At St. Mark's we say that "Worship is inspirational, relevant, and Christ-centered"…if our worship on Sundays isn't
Christ-centered, we don't want to do it. If our messages aren't relevant, they will fall on deaf ears. If our
worship isn't inspired by the Holy Spirit and meaningful, we'll feel out of touch with the presence of God. In
John 4:23 Jesus said that "true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth."
Our methods of worship vary, but the message is always the same…Jesus Christ and him crucified. We have distinctive
choices for giving God glory which reach different people. We pray that you will discover at St. Mark's a place to
praise God where your lives can become a reflection of the glory of Jesus.
