How We Share

Once we have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, God desires us to share our faith with others. That happens when we share our God given abilities and resources for the advancement of God's kingdom. God has given every individual specific talents, personalities, and interests, all of which can be leveraged for God's use. If you haven't already discovered your spiritual gift, we invite you to take part in a spiritual gifts inventory to help determine where you might utilize your unique abilities. Once you discover your gifts and know yourself better, it's important to discover your passion for serving…where has God given you a heart for sharing love with others.

We also share by telling others about our faith. Each of us know people who are unchurched or who don't have a personal connection with Jesus. Inviting them to a small group or church is a great way to help them on their journey. It's part of the great commission in Matthew 28:19: "Go and make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." You may be the vital link to whether someone you know spends their lifetime in eternity with God.

As you share your faith and talents, God desires also that you share of your resources. Giving generously of our resources opens our hearts to a greater desire to become like Jesus. Jesus said, "where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Every partner at St. Mark's is committed to a path of growth in their giving…and as God claims more of our hearts in this area of faith…more people are reached through the gifts we share!
