St. Mark's Small Groups

Mission Statement:

"To fulfill God's purpose of connecting people in small groups to grow spiritually, love one another, reach new people and serve others."

We are all called to live in community with one another as we strive to know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served, and celebrate and be celebrated by others.

Four Components of Group Life

A small group is an intentional gathering of 3-12 people who come together on a regular basis to fulfill the mission of growing spiritually, loving each other, reaching out to, and serving others. The types of small groups with which you can be involved are endless. All groups include each of the four elements as illustrated in the graphic. Each individual group has a single element as its primary focus. There are groups with the emphasis on nurturing, loving and supporting. You could be a part of a group where the main emphasis is Bible study or fellowship. Still other groups focus on serving in our church community, our local community, or internationally. All groups reach out to welcome others into their small groups.

"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."   Acts 2:46-47
